Smaller Scale Sundays: August 8th

Well this week didn’t go according to plan.

I need a kick in the butt. And there is only one place where I can get it. That is at the gym with my trainer.

Smaller Scale Sundays: Formerly Weigh-In Wednesdays

Incase you didn’t read last weeks Weigh-In Wednesday, I am moving my weigh-ins to Sundays. I’ve been too busy during the middle of the week and thought it would be better to do it on the weekend.

Alright, let’s get on with show.

This is not good at all. That’s almost a 4 pound gain since my last weigh-in. Ok, before you jump to any conclusions, I did go out to dinner with some family last night. It was a buffet. Buffets are like kryptonite. I went a little crazy, but not too crazy. Obviously, not all of this gain was from last night. The lack of sleep and the stress from building my photo website has played a huge role into the number you see above. But that’s all done and now I can get back into a good routine.

Weigh-In Wednesday: ???

Dammit, I missed my weigh-in.

I feel kind of bad, but I have been crazy busy lately. So I have decided to move my weigh-ins to Sundays. Goodbye Weigh-in Wednesdays, hello Smaller Scale Sundays.

Obviously there will be no weigh-in on this post, since it’s already Friday and it’s only two days until Sunday.

I’m sure you really want to know what has taken my attention away from the weigh-ins, right?

Well, between work, meetings, editing photos, rebuilding my photo website and sleep, I have not had a lot of time for much else. Actually, I haven’t even had that much time for sleep. That is not to say that I can just ignore being healthy. It means that I need to do a better job at managing my time more efficiently.

However, it is really important that I finish rebuilding my photo website. Focusing most of my attention on that has made most other things take a back seat, temporarily. I emphasize temporarily because after 2 months I am finally done.  Here is a preview (click the image to go to my photo website):

Two months is a long time to build a website. Way too long. Here’s the thing though, I built the site using javascript and jquery. I don’t know javascript and jquery. So, I basically had to teach myself through online tutorials and trial and error.

Now that the site is done, I will be able to get back to a good balance of work, life and sleep.

And as you may have noticed from the image above, I go by Richard for work. Only my friends call me Ricky. That means since you are reading my blog, we are friends.
